About the Event

We explore how product managers consider finances in their product innovation, maturation and scaling. Product management pursues growth and positive business outcomes. What are the critical finance aspects product managers need to understand and develop mastery in to successfully deliver growth and scale? What are the cost or margin implications for killing products? Why can lock-in be easily overlooked during a product’s MVP development but be rueful once customer adoption takes off? Let’s explore these and other critical dollars and cents topics with two accomplished product leaders, Amber and Daniel.

Amber Foucault is the Chief Product Officer at Drop. She is using her product mindset to approach strategic solutions for their mobile B2C product offering and B2B data products. With the launch of over 70 products under her belt, her specialty is turning divergent thinking into convergent action. Amber has led teams in product, design, strategy, customer support and more, drawing expertise from each build and creating strong cross-functional communication that solves problems and builds processes to ensure execution is always possible.

Daniel Shapiro is a seasoned product management veteran with a background across the software industry, ranging from startups to enterprises. With prior roles as Chief Product Officer at PartnerStack, as well as product leadership positions at Doxim (Fintech) and Points (Loyalty eCommerce), he brings a wealth of experience in B2B and B2B2C software.

Having discovered the magic of software at the age of 12, Daniel has dedicated over two decades to launching and growing businesses while driving organizational success. He firmly believes in the power of software to bring people together. When he’s not immersed in product management, Daniel finds joy in cooking for his family, with his loyal companion Benny the sheepdog by his side.

Panel moderated by TPMA Board Member & Product Leader, Adam Aronson
