Many products have a social impact, but few are designed to have a social impact. According to Imagine Canada, social impact organizations are responsible for more than 8% of Canada’s GDP and employ 1 in 10 Canadians. These organizations – most of them charities and nonprofits – have an enormous impact on our lives and communities by working to combat climate change, address food insecurity, support newcomers, and provide life-saving health care. Like any industry, much of this work is increasingly reliant on digital products.‍
